The 31st Book Fair of Changsha opens at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center on March 22, 2024.

This year's book fair implements a "1+10" pattern, that is, 1 main venue and 10 sub-venues. The main venue is located at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center, with 1,400 international standard booths set up in an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters. More than 1,000 exhibitors from 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country are expected to participate. The book fair sees a steady increase in the number of exhibitors from state-owned publishing units. During the three-day event, 200,000 kinds of finely printed books with complete categories and rich content are on show.

At the main venue, there are eight exhibition areas featuring national key brand books, quality books by Hunan-based publishing units, the China Book Printing Center, national copyright demonstration cities, livestreaming, and a book purchasing festival aimed at promoting national reading, respectively. Among them, the livestreaming exhibition area is set up for the first time.

The 10 sub-venues are distributed at the Dingwangtai Book Market and Changsha's nine "Most beautiful bookstores". Exhibitions of Hunan-printed books, teaching and auxiliary books, Hunan's local literature, and literature and art will be carried out in collaboration with bookstores across the city, in a bid to expand the scale of the fair and enrich its content.

During the fair, the 10 most favorite books among the residents of Changsha in 2023 will be selected and released. In addition to a book purchasing festival, activities such as book releases and book signings by famous authors will also be organized.
