The 2023 Multinationals Visiting Hunan event is being held from October 12 to 15. According to a media briefing held earlier, a total of 78 multinational enterprises and institutions have confirmed their participation in the event, including 34 Fortune Global 500 companies.

Guo Ning, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, said that it is a large event held by Hunan Province for the first time with the aim of attracting foreign investment, and it is also an important platform for exchanges and cooperation among multinational corporations. The event is hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce and co-organized by the People's Government of Tianxin District and Hunan Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment.

Six major activities are scheduled to be held, including:
--"Furong Cup" 2023 Medical Devices Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition;
-- A meeting and dinner event where representatives from multinational companies gather around a round table for discussions and socializing;
-- A conference on common development and cooperation between multinationals and Hunan Province;
-- A work exchange meeting of international cooperation zones in six provinces in central China;
-- the "Night of Xiangjiang" Salon; and,
-- Field visits to cities such as Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, and Zhangjiajie to learn about industrial development of medical devices, rail transit, new energy, and cultural tourism.

The event focuses on targeted investment in Hunan's existing advantageous industries while aiming to promote technology innovation and high-tech industries. New competitive industries such as biomedicine and medical devices, new energy and materials, and next-generation information technology will be promoted. The event will showcase key industries, industrial parks, and major projects, aiming to attract strategic investments, introduce key businesses, and strengthen competitive industries. Efforts will be made to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system in Hunan through precise industrial matchmaking.
