8th China International Food and Catering Expo

The 8th China International Food and Catering Expo will be held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center between September 15 and 17, 2023. 


The theme of this expo is "Promoting Consumption, Innovating Development". The exhibition area will reach 100,000 square meters, consisting of seven exhibition halls and a connecting hall. More than 40,000 exhibits of 1,800 domestic and foreign exhibitors will be on display. So far, all preparatory work has been carried out.

The expo is an important part of the annual campaign of boosting consumption initiated by the Ministry of Commerce. It will focus on boosting traditional consumption, fostering emerging consumption, expanding service consumption, and promoting new consumption modes. There will be 15 themed exhibition areas. Various distinctive and interactive performances and activities will be held, such as a Chinese and foreign wine appreciation salon, and an event for inheriting the time-honored intangible cultural heritages and Mid-Autumn culture. Besides, nearly 100 enterprises from 14 countries and regions will present their wine, snack food, condiments, coffee, and related products at the expo.

With an eye on ordinary people's dinner tables, the expo has become a calling-card of Hunan Province. Since its initiation in 2016, it has been held for seven sessions, with an accumulated exhibition areas of 522,000 square meters. More than 10,300 enterprise exhibitors from over 40 municipalities and autonomous regions and over 50 countries and regions participated in the previous sessions. The visits totaled 1 million. The accumulated value of orders reached during the expo sessions exceeded 2.1 billion CNY, according to incomplete statistics.
