On November 5, the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai.

 

In recent days, Hunan has conducted economic and trade exchanges with Poland, Romania, and England in Shanghai, in order to promote cooperation and mutual benefits, and improve Hunan’s imports level.

 

Hunan Gaoqiao Grand Market, also called Hunan Gaoqiao International Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, reached several agreements with international traders. It signed a whole milk import agreement with Poland Wosi Group. This will facilitate Polish agricultural products’ entry into Hunan market for the first time.

 

Hunan Bosen Industry focuses on international consumer goods, and signed a strategic agreement with Romania’s largest commodity exchange center – Honglong Group.

 

CIIE provides Polish enterprises with opportunities to enter Chinese market. Over 80 Polish enterprises participated in the Expo. They include food, cosmetics, jewellery, and auto spare parts. Till now, cooperation agreements have been reached in many fields.

 

Hunan Trading Group held an economic and trade promotion and commodity procurement conference for the Central and Eastern European traders on November 5. Several Hunan enterprises, like Better Life, and Jiahui Department Store, signed cooperation agreements with Polish and Romanian counterparts.

 

During the Hunan-England Economic and Trade Promotion & Commodity Procurement Conference, AstraZeneca signed an agreement with Hunan Cancer Hospital on medicine procurement, such as losec.
