The Leifeng Spirit Forum 2017 was convened at Wangcheng, Changsha, on February 25, ahead of the 54th “Lei Feng’s Day”.

The Forum was organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Cai Zhenghong, Honorary Chairman of the Leifeng Spirit Promotion Association of the China Volunteer Association (CVA) Leng Kuan, former Deputy Director of the Xinhua News Agency and Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress Lu Jianping, and Chairman of Leifeng Spirit Research Society of Hunan Province Yang Zhongmin attended the forum.

Themed with “Leifeng Spirit and Professional Ethics”, the attendees focused on the value of Leifeng Spirit in contemporary era. Keynote speeches were given to call for learning from Lei Feng and promoting his spirit of hark working, selfless dedication, and serving the people, to convey Leifeng Spirit by adopting new attitude and with new discourse under the globalization context.

Entering its fifth session, the Leifeng Spirit Forum has become an important platform for interpreting and promoting Leifeng spirit, said Director Cai. He stressed that every people should learn from Lei Feng, to dedicate to his/her jobs, and expand content of Leifeng Spirit in all walks of life. More substantial and themed activities are to be organized to promote values of dedication, honesty, fairness, and serving the people.
