The scenic area spans a total of 107 hectares. Centered around the "Safeguarding the Clear Waters of the Yangtze River" Exhibition Hall — an educational demonstration center — it has upgraded the roads at Hualong Pier and surrounding infrastructure. At the same time, ecological restoration has been carried out focusing on the original site of Hualong Pier to showcase the natural ecological landscape. The exhibition hall highlights the ecological foundations of the region's great rivers and lakes, as well as new urban icons such as the finless porpoise, milu deer, and migratory birds. Integrating visitor reception, thematic exhibitions, education and training, cultural creativity, and internet-famous spots for photo opportunities, the hall is set to become a red‑culture education base for Party members and a science popularization and study base for young people.
