Yueyang's first large-scale indoor ice and snow sports venue — the Qixingxue-Starlight Snowfield project — has been established in the Yueyang Lingang High‑tech Industrial Development Zone. The main construction of the project is now fully completed, and it has entered the stage of interior thematic design and fine decoration. It is expected to officially open to the public within this year. The project represents a total investment of 100 million yuan, with a total floor area of nearly 20,000 square meters.

The Qixingxue-Starlight Snowfield project is located at the intersection of Yungang Road and Chaoying Road in the Yueyang Lingang High‑tech Industrial Development Zone. It is constructed by Yueyang Chengling Shengye Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yueyang Guansheng Investment Development Co., Ltd. Leveraging Yueyang's geographical advantages, the project aims to create an all‑season cultural tourism complex that integrates ice and snow sports with leisure and entertainment.

Once completed, the project will fill the gap of a large‑scale indoor ice and snow venue in Yueyang, offering residents from Yueyang and even central China an all‑weather ice and snow experience, and helping Yueyang build a new model for integrated development of "cultural tourism + sports." 

The core facilities of the project include an indoor ski area of approximately 5,000 square meters, a professional skating zone, and a children's snow paradise. Equipped with international-standard ski slopes and ice surface systems, the venue can meet diverse needs such as ski instruction, ice skating competitions, and parent‑child recreation.

In addition, the project innovatively creates an immersive ice-snow themed commercial space, integrating services such as ski equipment rental, ice bar relaxation, specialty dining, and corporate team building, forming a one-stop service of "sports experience – cultural consumption – social interaction."

The Qixingxue-Starlight Snowfield project is a new cultural and tourism venture prioritized by the Yueyang Lingang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. Once completed, the project will synergize with surrounding commercial, hospitality, and transportation sectors to create a cluster effect, thereby injecting strong vitality into the zone's efforts to build a modern new city that is "livable, business-friendly, and tourist-friendly."
