Leveraging the resources in the Binjiang New Town, Lengshuitan in Hunan has been actively developing its riverside night economy, introducing new integrated business formats of cultural tourism, leisure, and consumption along Xiangjiang West Road and Songjia Isle, thereby continuously boosting the city's nighttime consumer activity.
The Xiangjiang West Road Granary Cafe, created by the Yongzhou Branch of Hunan Art Museum, boasts prime river views. It offers cultural and creative specialty drinks themed around "Yongzhou" and "Xiaoxiang," complemented by performances from local bands, forming a distinctive business format of "art museum + river view + coffee + performance art." The venue has become a popular nighttime destination for residents.

The head of the venue said that the project aims to supplement nighttime supporting facilities along the river. Subsequent plans include collaborating with local artisans to host art markets, further deepening the cultural essence of the business format.
The Qufeifei Paragliding Camp at the head of Songjia Isle leverages its ecological advantages to offer a variety of land, water, and air activities, including paragliding, paddleboarding, and riverside camping. With its unique bar and karaoke lounge, the camp has become a popular nighttime destination known for its stunning night views. The high-altitude sightseeing and water-related activities cater to young people and family visitors, attracting tourists from surrounding counties and cities who make special trips here.
Previously, Lengshuitan's night economy focused primarily on traditional dining and entertainment. Now, by leveraging its riverside advantages and closely following the consumption preferences of young people, it has introduced diverse business formats such as artistic leisure and outdoor cultural tourism. Industry insiders believe that the establishment of the waterfront commercial district has effectively drawn crowds and extended consumption hours. The new formats, integrating local cultural heritage with trendy leisure activities, not only enrich residents' nightlife but also lay a solid foundation for the qualitative upgrade and expansion of the regional night economy.
