Construction of Changde Deshan New Port Area

Introduction: the freight waterway of Changde Deshan New Port Area runs through Yuanshui to Dongting Lake and connects Xiangjiang River, Zijiang River, Lishui River and Yangtze River. 5km from the port, the highway transportation enters into Changsha-Changde, Changsha-Zhangjiajie, Changde-Jishou Expressway via Deshan Interchange, then runs along 319 National Road and city ring road and is also connected to 207 National Road. The railway transportation is carried out by Changsha-Shimen Railway Goods Station, which is 6km from the port.  

1000t-level dock project of Changde Deshan New Port District locates in Qixing’an Village, Changde Economic Development Zone, occupies an area of 223mu, and the length of bank line is 400m, there are four 1000t-level break-bulk cargos berths. As for the rear land territory, the width is 366m and the average depth is 238m; the areas of parallel-arranged container yard and warehouse are respectively 22068m² and 6660m²; multiple-use buildings, work and rest rooms, warehouses of tools and materials and parking yard are built in the main area; the road, along which 5m of greenbelt and transparent are built, is ring shaped.  

Benefit assessment: it is predicted that short term (2015) throughput of Deshan Port is 3.28 million tons, medium term (2020) is 4.4 million tons and long-term (2030) will be 8.6 million.
