Governor Mao Weiming extended a warm welcome to the delegation visiting Hunan and congratulated the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft on signing two cooperation projects with Hunan in the fields of composite material recycling and coordinated high-altitude emergency rescue. Mao mentioned that during his visit to Germany earlier this year, the Hunan delegation toured the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, where the delegates witnessed firsthand Fraunhofer's broad research scope, strong scientific capabilities, and abundant innovative achievements. He emphasized the obvious complementary strengths and vast cooperation potential between Fraunhofer and Hunan in areas such as high-end equipment manufacturing, the automotive industry, and precision instruments. Governor Mao expressed his hope that both sides will implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and take the delegation's visit as an opportunity to focus on cutting-edge industrial trends, development needs, and common technologies. Efforts will be made to strengthen joint research, build innovation platforms, and promote industrial collaboration. The governor added that both sides will work together to establish the Hunan Defu Applied Science Research Center, leveraging Fraunhofet's advanced technologies and management expertise to enhance the core competitiveness of Hunan's industries and promote the widespread application of civilian technologies, and jointly creating a new model of China-Germany technological cooperation.
