A reporter learned from China Railway Guangzhou Group that starting from 0:00 on July 1, a new national railway timetable will be implemented. After the change, the Guangzhou Group will arrange 3,318 scheduled passenger trains, an increase of 77 compared to the same period last year, with Hunan adding multiple inter-provincial routes.

Transport capacity will be precisely allocated to Red or revolutionary tourism destinations and popular tourist areas. Two round-trip trains—G3854/5 and G3853/6—will operate between Shaoshan South and Yan'an, linking the two major Red education bases and creating a high-speed passenger line dedicated to Red tourism. Changsha South Railway Station will launch its first direct train to Jingdezhen North Station, eliminating the need for transfers and offering a direct journey in as little as 3 hours and 17 minutes. Additionally, the transport capacity layout of the Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua High-speed Railway will be optimized, with 10 additional trains running from Changsha South to Huaihua South and 14 additional trains from Huaihua South to Zhangjiajie West. Transport priorities will be given to popular tourist destinations in western Hunan.

The main line of the Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway will be optimized to enhance quality and efficiency, creating an efficient long-distance travel corridor. Following these changes, 12 trains (G6001 to G6012) on the Changsha South–Guangzhou South section will all achieve direct, non-stop service, with some trains cutting travel time by up to 8 minutes. The scale of trains operating at 350 km/h on the Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway will be steadily expanded, with the number of such trains under the new schedule reaching 221, an increase of 16 from the current schedule. This will significantly enhance cross-regional connectivity.

Station arrangements along the route and within the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster will be optimized to facilitate daily commuting. To address the morning peak travel shortage in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster, two new intercity commuter trains S6826 and S7907 will be added to fill the gap in the morning commuting capacity between southern and western Changsha, improving the cross-regional commuting network within the city cluster. Meanwhile, stops at stations along the route, including Yueyang East, Miluo East, Zhuzhou West, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, and Guangzhou North, will be adjusted, with a total of 32 additional stops operational, making it more convenient for residents along the route to board trains nearby.

With the opening of Foshan Station, new high-speed trains departing from Changsha South Railway Station to Foshan Station will be put into service, making it more convenient for Hunan passengers to travel to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
