The 2026 Hunan Canola Flower Festival will kick off on March 11 at Baozi Town, Huitong County, Huaihua City, according to a press conference held by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hunan Province.

At the press conference, Gong Xin, deputy director of the department, introduced that this year's festival is jointly hosted by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hunan Province and the Huaihua Municipal People's Government, with the Huitong County People's Government serving as the organizer. The festival will run throughout March, with its main venue located in Huaihua's Huitong County. Simultaneously, sub-venues will be established in Hengyang County, Shuangfeng County, Anhua County, and Taoyuan County. The main venue features seven meticulously planned themed activities, including the "Flower World" -- a collection of picturesque photo spots, a village song party amidst the golden fields, and a food fair showcasing intangible cultural heritage. The four sub-venues will also showcase the sea of canola flowers, local specialty industries, and rural landscapes through cultural performances, product trade fairs, and creative interactive experiences, presenting a spring cultural tourism feast for all.
