China's Ministry of Education has introduced new undergraduate majors in response to the evolving needs of national strategies and industrial development.

The ministry has listed 15 interdisciplinary majors, including future robotics and brain-machine science and technology, in its latest catalog of undergraduate majors in general colleges and universities, to better adapt to the development of emerging fields and the growing demand for well-rounded talent.

New majors, such as energy science and engineering and deep earth science and engineering, have been added to align with the country's strategic needs.

The catalog has also included majors like agricultural robotics, biomanufacturing, digital culture and tourism, and digital trade, among others, to serve the needs of different industries.

Meanwhile, the ministry has provided support for nine universities and colleges in establishing majors in embodied intelligence, aiming to promote the deep integration of the new generation of artificial intelligence with the real economy and empower high-quality economic and social development.
