Jiang Difei, vice governor of Hunan Province, attended the closing ceremony and declared the Games closed.
Opening on September 6, this year's games were hosted by the People's Government of Hunan Province and jointly organized by the Hunan Provincial Administration of Sport and the Yiyang Municipal People's Government, with Bank of Changsha as the title sponsor. A total of 10,678 athletes from across the province registered for the games, divided into youth and adult groups. The games featured a total of 41 major events and 751 minor events, with both the participation scale and the number of events reaching record highs.
On the field, athletes competed with determination and delivered outstanding performances. The youth group produced 776 gold medals and the adult group 78. Five athletes broke five provincial records on seven occasions, while 17 athletes broke six youth provincial records on six occasions. Changsha, Yiyang, and Xiangxi ranked top three in total gold medals in the youth group, while Changsha, Yiyang, and Huaihua ranked top three in the adult group.
The closing ceremony featured a flag handover for the next session of the games. The 16th Games of Hunan Province will be jointly hosted by Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan in 2030. Xiong Ni, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the Hunan Provincial Administration of Sport, received the flag from Liu Yonghui, acting mayor of Yiyang City, and passed it to officials from Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan, marking that the three host cities are on the clock for the 16th Games of Hunan Province.
