The "15-minute community life circle" is a public wellbeing initiative that enables residents to conduct their daily life activities within a 15-minute walk of their homes, such as shopping, breakfast outlets, wet markets, elderly and childcare, repair services, and fitness facilities. Essential facilities like convenience stores and wet markets should be provided, while cultural, recreational, social, and fitness services should be developed based on local conditions, to enable residents to meet their daily needs "at their doorstep."
So far, many communities across the city have passed national- or provincial-level review and been officially accredited as pilot ones in various categories, and several have been upgraded from foundational to enhanced levels. A Changde-style community development model has been formed. Going forward, Changde will leverage its status as a pioneer pilot city to conduct high-level planning, high-standard construction, high-efficiency advancement, and high-quality operation, to ensure citywide coverage of the "15-minute community life circles" and make Changde a "City in the Peach Blossom Land" that is warmer, more livable, and more vibrant.
