Recently, the 23rd China (Hunan) medical team to Zimbabwe conducted reciprocal visits with the University of Zimbabwe. Through on-campus discussions and field visits to the Zimbabwe-China Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Center, the two sides aimed to promote the sustained exchange of TCM culture in Zimbabwe.

Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as TCM services on campus and the popularization of traditional culture. The medical team also briefed university representatives on their specialties and strengths, including TCM diagnosis and treatment, as well as chronic disease management.

Afterwards, a delegation of faculty and students from the University of Zimbabwe visited the Zimbabwe-China Traditional Chinese Medicine Center. Medical team members accompanied the delegation on a tour of the TCM exhibition hall, the TCM first aid station, and the diagnosis and treatment area, providing detailed explanations of the center's operational structure and characteristic diagnosis and treatment programs. The faculty and students showed strong interest, and the university representatives indicated that this in-depth visit has boosted their confidence in future regular cooperation.

This year marks the sixth year that the First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine has operated the Zimbabwe-China Traditional Chinese Medicine Center. The center is dedicated to bringing in high-quality medical professionals, technical resources, and TCM culture in Zimbabwe, aiming to explore new ways for spreading TCM overseas. This collaboration serves as another concrete example of strengthening mutual trust and deepening cooperation.

"These reciprocal visits have given us a real sense of the curiosity and need for TCM among Zimbabwean teachers and students," said a member of the medical team. "We will take this opportunity to promote the culture and appropriate practices of TCM, ensuring that more local people have access to and trust these practices, and to better advance the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture."
