The Hunan Provincial Academy of Social Sciences and the Social Sciences Academic Press recently unveiled a series of blue books on Hunan's development in 2025. First published in 1996, the Hunan Blue Book series has provided an authoritative reference for all walks of life to learn about and invest in Hunan Province over the past three decades.

The five Blue Books published this year include: 2025 Report on the Industrial Development of Hunan Province; 2025 Report on the Social Development of Hunan Province; 2025 Report on the Ecological Civilization Construction of Hunan Province; Report on the Integrated Development of Culture and Technology in China (2025); and Report on the Cultural IPs Development of Hunan Province (2025).

The Blue Books closely follow the central priorities of the province and has achieved continuous breakthroughs in research methods and fields:

2025 Report on the Industrial Development of Hunan Province is the first domestic "blue book for provincial-level industrial talent." It scraped over 30 million pieces of job recruitment information to provide a map of supply and demand of industrial talent.

Report on the Integrated Development of Culture and Technology in China (2025) established the first national evaluation system, enabling a direct comparison of cultural and technological innovation across all provinces.

Report on the Cultural IPs Development of Hunan Province (2025) is the first systematic review of Hunan's cultural IPs. 

2025 Report on the Ecological Civilization Construction of Hunan Province pioneers a four-dimensional evaluation system of "carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and growth."

Besides, 2025 Report on the Social Development of Hunan Province was developed based on firsthand public feedback covering all 122 counties (cities, districts) across the province.
