From April 10 to 12, the 14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo was held at the Cotai Expo in Macao. The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism organized cultural and tourism departments from five cities—Changsha, Xiangtan, Chenzhou, Huaihua, and Loudi—to participate in the expo, alongside 18 key local travel agencies, scenic spots, and other cultural and tourism enterprises.

Under the theme of "Welcome to Charming Hunan," the Hunan exhibition booth spotlighted the "Greater Zhangjiajie International Tourism Area." Hunan's tourist itineraries, educational travel products, and entry facilitation policies were presented to travel agents from Macao and overseas. Over 2,000 promotional materials, including cultural and tourism maps and itinerary brochures, were distributed at the event. The booth attracted more than 500 visits made by travel agents from Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Macao, as well as by local residents. Tourism professionals from Hunan and Macao engaged in in-depth discussions on product development and business cooperation, reaching several preliminary cooperation agreements on the spot.
During the exhibition, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism concurrently hosted the Hunan Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), and Gong Tiejun, member of the CPC Leadership Group and deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended and delivered speeches. The event was attended by over 100 participants, including representatives from the Asia Tourism Exchange Center, the MGTO, and travel agencies from both Hunan and Macao.

Through multi-dimensional displays, targeted promotions, and cultural performances, the Hunan delegation comprehensively showcased the unique charm of Hunan's culture and tourism.
During the event, the Hunan delegation visited tourism enterprises, including China International Travel Service (Macao) Limited, to gain insights into the operations of local travel agencies and their market promotion strategies. In-depth discussions were held on the aspects such as developing "multi-destination" premium tour routes, attracting cross-border tourists, and strengthening brand promotion.
This year's expo attracted over 700 tourism-related enterprises and official organizations from 59 countries and regions, along with more than 600 specially invited buyers from home and abroad, as well as tens of thousands of local residents.
