On April 9, the last T-beam was hoisted into place onto the reconstructed Bianshan River Bridge in Lisong Village, Huolianpo Town, Lixian County, marking that the bridge reconstruction project has entered the final sprint phase of deck construction. This bridge, a part of the S233 highway, connects Hunan and Hubei provinces. Originally completed and opened to traffic in 1967, the bridge began to be reconstructed in last October and is scheduled to reopen to traffic within this year. Upon reopening, it is expected to facilitate regional economic and social development at a higher standard. (Photo/Bai Yipu)
