Data from the Huaihua Customs Authority shows that, in the first two months of this year, Huaihua exported agricultural products valued at 40.528 million CNY, with a year-on-year growth of 59.8% which ranked second provincewide. The export destinations spanned 17 countries and regions, with the exports to Hong Kong, China and ASEAN countries increasing by 153% and 445.9% respectively.
Leveraging the Huaihua International Land Port, Huaihua's mountain products have been exported around the world. In the first two months of this year, Mayang exported eggs worth 22.008 million CNY, ranking second in the province, with an increase of 114.4% year on year, which ranks first in the province. Meanwhile, exports of Zhijiang tangerines reached 7.588 million CNY, accounting for 18.7% of Huaihua's total agricultural exports.
"Eggs are mainly exported to Hong Kong and Africa, while sweet oranges are favored by consumers in various countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, and Russia," said a manager of an exporting company.
"The customs authority set up 'green channels' for fresh agricultural products, giving priority to their declaration, inspection, and certification, which sharply cut the customs clearance time," said a customs officer of the Huaihua Customs Authority. Besides, the authority established a special team to assist in agricultural export, carrying out a series of priority measures to ensure the smooth export of agricultural products.
