Undertaken by the China Railway Construction Group Co., Ltd., the renovation of Yongzhou Station is a key control project along the Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-Speed Railway. The station capacity will be expanded from 3 platforms with 13 tracks to 6 platforms with 18 tracks. Upon completion, Yongzhou Station will become an integrated transportation hub that integrates the Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-Speed Railway, Hengyang-Liuzhou High-speed Railway, and the planned Guangzhou-Qingyuan-Yongzhou High-Speed Railway, eliminating the high-speed rail bottleneck between southern Hunan and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
