The 2025 World Computing Conference opened in Changsha on the morning of Nov. 20. It is hosted by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, under the theme "Calculating the World to Create a New Era – Intelligent Computing Drives New Quality Productive Forces."
The conference features 12 core events, including one high-level opening ceremony and keynote forum, five specialized sessions focusing on cutting-edge computing topics, five dedicated events centered on the industry's development empowered by technologies, and an exhibition showcasing innovation achievements.
Nobel laureate Thomas Sargent, as well as more than ten domestic and overseas academicians and senior managers of globally leading enterprises attended the conference. They had in-depth discussions on such cutting-edge fields as advanced computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum technology.
Various innovative products are displayed at the conference, including the Ascend 384 super-node system, intelligent integrated computing clusters, humanoid robots, intelligent connected vehicles, and brain-computer interfaces.
Leveraging the conference, Hunan showcases a series of its "AI Plus" Initiative achievements, including "Top 10 Key Enterprises," "Top 10 Demonstration Scenarios," and "Top 10 Future Scenarios."
Initiated in 2019, the World Computing Conference has been held in Changsha for six sessions, establishing itself as a high-end, international, and professional platform for exchanges and collaboration in the computing field.
Statistics showed that, the previous six sessions have generated a cumulative signed contract value of 78 billion CNY, effectively strengthening the clustered development of Hunan's computing industry.
