Following the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park remains a popular destination, attracting a steady stream of visitors who opt for off-peak travel to enjoy golden autumn scenery. "A sea of clouds shrouds the mountain peaks, and there is no need to wait for a photo spot"! On October 23, Wang Le, a tourist from Shandong Province, made the remark and captured the breathtaking scenery at Huangshizhai Observation Platform in Zhangjiajie.
Hailed as "an enlarged bonsai and a miniature fairyland," Zhangjiajie is especially captivating in the golden autumn. Warm autumn sunlight filters through the forest, painting Huangshizhai's peaks in vibrant hues. Cable cars glide through the canyon, while the forest glows with golden lights. "After the holiday, accommodation and transportation are more affordable. There are no lines to wait in, and we even caught great weather"! Wang Le exclaimed. "The warm sunshine is filled with the scent of pine—it's so refreshing"! added Wang.
Foreign tourists are also flocking to Zhangjiajie. Alistair from New Zealand noted, "The scenery is breathtaking, and the locals are so friendly. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Next time I'll bring my whole family"!
Visitors admire the mountains and rivers by day and savor the culture by night. At the Zhangjiajie Romance Park, the large-scale performance titled Zhangjiajie Romance Show, along with ethnic flash mobs, Baishou dance, Guozhuang carnival, and interactive ethnic shows, are highly popular among visitors. The scenic area provides simultaneous translation services into English and Korean to ensure that international tourists can follow the stories. "We help foreign audiences understand the cultural background of the show," said Mi Changzheng, a person in charge of the scenic area. An Uzbek tourist praised, "This city is brimming with cultural charm. I've learned so much about Chinese culture"!
Zhangjiajie is building on its natural ecology as the foundation, cultural heritage as the soul, and quality services as the bridge. This approach is key to transforming "day-trippers" into "overnight tourists" and shifting "sightseeing tours" into "immersive experiences." From October 9 to 20, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park received 272,700 tourist trips, including 52,600 made by international tourists, marking a 15.35% year-on-year increase in inbound tourism.
