Currently, planting bases in Xin'an Village, Nanxian County have entered a critical harvest period. Farmers are seizing the ideal weather to harvest in batches in an orderly manner. In recent years, Nanxian County has actively cultivated regional crops such as sweet corns, peppers, and flowering Chinese cabbage by selecting superior varieties and optimizing industrial structures. The primary intercropping models currently employed include "peppers + corn," "flowering Chinese cabbage + melons and fruits," and "flowering Chinese cabbage + rice."
As of now, the county has cultivated 180,000 mu (12,000 ha.) of autumn-winter intercropping vegetables, with an annual total output projected to exceed one million tonnes.
