Hunan held a series of Germany- and Middle East-oriented key industrial chain investment promotion roadshows on September 8 and 9, during the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade in Xiamen.

More than 50 renowned foreign enterprises and institutions attended, including NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia) Global Business and Linde Gas. Hunan presented 20 projects at the roadshows. Projects such as the Zhuzhou Qingshuitang Cultural and Creative Industrial Park were highlighted during the Middle East-oriented session. Deloitte China introduced the Hunan-Germany cooperation foundation and project opportunities at the Germany-oriented session.
The event focused on Hunan's key industrial chains, covering seven areas including biomedicine and medical devices, aerospace and BeiDou, cultural creativity and tourism, green food processing, new-generation information technology, and advanced materials. The roadshows showcased Hunan's advantages in industrial chain development, innovation platform building, and policy support.
During the first roadshow, the Yueyang Economic and Technological Development Zone reached an agreement with relevant enterprises for a semiconductor production base project. This project will recruit advanced technologies and talents worldwide, focusing on semiconductor substrate processing and chip packaging.
Hunan and Germany have seen frequent economic and trade exchanges in recent years. In July 2024, the German SME Headquarters Cluster (Hunan) was inaugurated in Changsha. In March 2025, the Hunan government rolled out the "2025 Work Plan for Investment Promotion and Cooperation with Germany," further deepening economic and trade collaboration between Hunan and Germany.
