Recently, 3.7 tonnes of fresh Hengyang braised rice noodles or rice noodles with braised sauce, produced by a food company were passed inspection by the Hengyang Customs Authority and shipped for export to North America. This marked the first-ever export of Hengyang's traditional specialty snack, braised rice noodles.
"Through technological innovation, our company has extended the shelf life of the wet rice noodles to over eight months. This breakthrough not only overcomes preservation challenges but also preserves the authentic 'Hengyang flavor' of the rice noodles," said a spokesperson of the food company, adding that the exports of Hengyang braised rice noodles will continue to expand.
The Hengyang Customs Authority has assigned dedicated personnel to guide enterprises through export registration procedures, helping Hengyang braised rice noodles to reach global markets. The authority has also assisted in establishing quality assurance systems for instant fresh rice noodles, and facilitating direct procurement channels for raw rice materials from registered production bases.
