On August 23, the "Young Overseas Returnee Entrepreneurship and Cooperation Dialogue" event of the 12th Overseas Returnees Forum took place in Changsha. Hu Xusheng, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, attended the event.
At the event, participants centered their discussions on the theme of "Entrepreneurship Opportunities and Challenges for Young Overseas Returnees Amid Global Changes." Drawing from their personal experiences in research, entrepreneurship, and investment, they engaged in in-depth exchanges to explore better development pathways. Participants emphasized that young returnees should integrate their international perspectives with Hunan's industrial development, continuing to take root in this "fertile ground for innovation and entrepreneurship."
Enterprise representatives, experts, and scholars from Sany Group, Hunan University, and other entities delivered keynote speeches on topics such as "A New Synergistic Paradigm for Driving Corporate Globalization and Cultivating New Quality Productive Forces" and "From Intelligent Manufacturing in Hunan to Global Layout— Insights from Sany's Digital Transformation and Internationalization Strategy."
The results of the Overseas Returnees Forum Project Competition were released at the event. After rigorous screening and evaluation, 20 high-value, highly feasible projects were shortlisted, including the clinical application of cobra venom in treating neurodegenerative diseases. Next, the Organizing Committee of the Overseas Returnees Forum will strengthen targeted connections and accelerate the implementation of these projects.
The event also featured a ceremony to appoint youth mentors and a plaque-presentation ceremony for the Hunan Zhigong Lu Entrepreneurs Service Center's liaison office. The ceremonies aimed to strengthen global resource connections, build a broader service network for returning talents, and better support entrepreneurial endeavors.
Guided by the Organizing Committee of the 12th Overseas Returnees Forum and hosted by the Hunan Zhigong Lu Entrepreneurs Service Center, the event attracted over 150 entrepreneurs and young innovators.
