From January to July this year, Yongzhou City exported 3,283.6 tonnes of canned fruit with a total value of 287.4 million CNY, representing year-on-year growth of 38.7% and 31.7% respectively. The primary variety for export was canned mandarin oranges.
Yongzhou is one of the major canned mandarin orange exporters in Hunan Province. The Yongzhou Customs Authority has collected information of enterprises' export plans in advance, streamlining customs clearance measures such as the "cloud issuance" of inspection and quarantine certificates and self-service printing of certificates of origin. These efforts provide enterprises with stable customs clearance expectations and have contributed to the steady growth of local canned fruit exports.
The Hunan Ducheng International Food Co., Ltd., is a canned food company located in the Xiangrong Industrial Village in Yongzhou's Fenghuang Park Economic Development Zone. The company has leveraged the RCEP agreement to further expand its markets in Japan, Thailand, and other regions. The Hunan Fruitops Food Co., Ltd. has optimized and upgraded the production processes such as orange sorting, washing, peeling, processing, and can sealing, said a spokesperson of the company. These measures have enhanced the taste and quality of its canned products and made these products well-received by international customers.
