The 2023 China International Rail Transit & Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exposition will be held in Zhuzhou between December 8 and 10. The Information Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government introduced the preparations and related situations of the expo at a press conference in Changsha on December 4.

The expo is the only national-level international professional exposition in domestic rail transit industry. The theme is "Smart Rail Links to the Future". So far, 447 enterprises have registered for participation. The arrangement of the 54,000-sqm exhibition area has been completed, comprising themed exhibition zones respectively displaying rail transit equipment manufacturing, rail transit key parts and raw materials, rail transit development achievements and future trend, and intelligent system maintenance and design consultation.

More than 1,200 distinguished guests from the rail transit upstream and downstream companies at home and abroad, research institutions, and universities have been invited to attend the expo. About 60,000 visits are anticipated. Chinese and international leading rail transit manufactures, such as Caterpillar and CRRC, will participate in the expo, and over 300 key enterprises in related sectors will showcase their new technologies, products, and services.

The expo will be held both online and offline. The online exhibition, also a trading match-making meeting, will open on December 6 and last until June 2024. During this period, the exhibitors may make online presentations, live streaming, and new product release, dovetailing with the demands of the domestic and overseas clients to facilitate business transactions.

A variety of events will be held during the expo, including:

- an opening ceremony, also the World Rail Transit Xiangjiang Forum;

- four parallel forums on rail transit industrial chain ecological system construction, rail transit intelligent and green development, rail transit industrial innovation, and rail transit standardized development; and,

- six supporting activities focusing on business match-making and innovative technology promotion, China-U.S.A rail transit cooperation, Europe-oriented rail transit equipment development, investment and trading negotiation, industry and talent integration, and industry-education-research integration.
