Mei Kebao, vice secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee held a symposium on the morning of Nov. 18 with worker representatives in Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co Ltd (Xianggang)  centering around the topic of how the enterprise adheres to of the scientific  outlook on development against the impact of the global financial crisis. He urged that we should grab the opportunities of development, adjust the products structure and enhance fine management with a resolute confidence to promote sound and fast development of the enterprise.

After learning the scientific outlook on development in the past period of time, employees and executives of Xianggang gained a further understanding and deeper recognition of this thinking. The company organized this symposium entitled " overcoming difficulties, pursuing development" to seek for the suggestions and opinions from workers so as to meet the challenges posed by the global financial crisis in a scientific manner and promote the development of the company.

After listening to the speeches, Mei remarked that this activity form is an important link to learn to practice the scientific outlook on development and provides a good channel to pool wisdom and accept suggestions to promote sound and fast development. He stressed that the enterprise must further build confidence to avoid the disadvantages and fully play the advantages of the enterprise to stave off the crisis.  We should make full use of the favorable policies and measures the central government put forward to stimulate the economy, especially the increasing effort to investment. So we should take measures to welcome all these opportunities to accelerate development.
