On Nov. 18, the 10th Hunan International Agriculture Fair opens in Changsha Red Star (Hongxing) International Exhibition Center. More than 2000 exhibiting enterprises from home and abroad come with business opportunities to jointly celebrate the tenth birthday of the agriculture fair. Mao Zhiyong, Vice-chairman of the 9th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), declared the fair began. Lu Ming, former Vice minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the leaders of Hunan Provincial Government Zhou Qiang, Yang Taibo, Chen Run'er, Wang Silian, Yuan Longping, Tan Zhongchi, Pang Daomu, as well as the Ambassador of Lithuania to China, Ghana Minister to China and other distinguished guests from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.
Governor Zhou Qiang, representing Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Provincial Government extends congratulations to the 10th anniversary of Hunan International Agriculture Fair and the opening of this session. He hopes through the agriculture fair, the friends from all over the world will pay attention, gain understanding and give supports to Hunan's agricultural and rural development, and further make investment in the modern agriculture and new socialist countryside construction in Hunan Province.
Over 20 agricultural enterprises from Thailand, Vietnam, South Africa and groups of participants from 23 provinces, municipalities and prefectures of China turned out for this fair. The number of the exhibiting enterprises totaled unprecedented 2000, among which more than 70 are the leading enterprises of national or provincial level. The whole exhibition hall is divided into several exhibition areas such as the exhibition area of international, HK, Macao and Taiwan enterprises, the achievements exhibition area of Hunan's agriculture development for 30 years, the exhibition area of other provinces, the exhibition area of leisure agriculture, the Guinness area of agricultural products, the exhibition area of medium and small enterprises, and the exhibition area of agricultural machinery. New agricultural products, new techniques and new equipments make a splendid show on this exhibition stage.
