CEEC Director at University of Northampton Visits Changsha

The British Consulate-General in Guangzhou suggested that Dr. He Shaowei, director of the China and Emerging Economies Centre (CEEC) at the University of Northampton, UK visit Changsha on July 23 to promote friendly exchanges between Northampton and Changsha. During his stay in Changsha, he inspected the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Changsha) Testing Zone.
Dr. He described Northampton and its four industrial growth belts including high-performance automobile engines. He also expressed his willingness to promote closer connection between enterprises of the two places, so as to lay a solid foundation for the promotion of sister-city exchanges between the two places.
Zhang Liu, deputy director of Economic Development Bureau of Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee, described the area’s intelligent connected vehicle industry development. He hoped to carry out more exchanges and cooperation with Britain in high-end manufacturing, medical treatment, and health.
Zhang Qingsong, deputy director of the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, welcomed Dr. He and expressed his willingness to develop more pragmatic and friendly cooperative relations with the UK in more fields. The Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee will continue to provide high-quality services to assist Changsha enterprises in “going global”.
