Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway Add Trains over May Day Holiday

In the coming May Day holiday, 500,000 trips are expected to be made through the Changsha Railway Station, 100,000 trips per day on average. The travel peak will be on May 1, with an estimated 140,000 passengers. To deal with the rail traffic pressure, the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway will operate 69 pairs of trains every day during the holiday. 
This year’s major passenger flows will concentrate on medium and short-distance trips and family-visiting tours within the province. Yueyang, Changde, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Yiyang, and Zhangjiajie will be major destinations of general-speed railway trips. Changsha, Xianfeng, Xiangtan, Bantang, Dafeng, and Tianxindong Station of the Intercity Railway will see passenger flow peak. 
Beginning from 0:00 on April 29, the Chang-Zhu-Tan Intercity Railway will add more trains. During this holiday, 69 pairs of intercity railway trains will be operated every day, including 13 pairs running between Changshaxi and Zhuzhounan stations; 12 pairs between Changsha and Xiangtan stations; 22 pairs between Changsha and Zhuzhounan stations; and, 22 pairs between Changsha and Xiangtan stations. 
The passengers who booked the general-speed train tickets between April 30 and May 4 can get their tickets at the Changsha Intercity Railway Station (near the No. 4 exit of the Changsha Metro Line 4 Jintai Square Station).
