Zhangjiajie, boasting the prototype for the hit movie "Avatar" by James Cameron, sent Chinese Spring Festival wishes to overseas Chinese via a video clip broadcast on the NASDAQ screen at the New York Times Square, USA on Feb. 15 local time. The promotion video, in both Chinese and English, presented the splendid mist-shrouded peaks and pillar-like mountain formations, the to-be-opened Funzeal International Public Bonded Warehouse, and the Oriental Manhattan Global Bonded Shopping Mall.

The unique quartz sandstone-formed peak forest within the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has been included in both the World Natural Heritage and the World Geopark lists by the UNESCO. It has received more than 73 million visitors in 2017 with a total tourism revenue of 62.4 billion CNY. In 2018, the city will build an international public bonded warehouse, a bonded commodity exhibition center, and a cross-border shopping center, to elevate its tourism internationalization and opening-up level. Great efforts will be made in cross-border e-commerce to build itself an international network e-business platform and an Avatar-themed tourism-featured shopping paradise.
