Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, chaired a meeting on April 7 to study current economic situations and related work. He urged to work hard to ensure the annual economic and social development tasks are well completed. He called for keeping focused, firming up confidence, making scientific decisions, and imposing targeted measures, so as to grasp and create opportunities in difficulties, minimize losses caused by COVID-19, and turn crises into opportunities. These would help achieve the goals of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects and striving for victory in poverty alleviation.

Persons in charge of related departments attended, including the Hunan Development and Reform Commission, Hunan Industry and Information Technology Department, Hunan Department of Finance, Hunan Department of Natural Resources, Hunan Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Hunan Department of Transportation, Hunan Department of Commerce, Hunan Statistics Bureau, Hunan Local Financial Supervision Bureau, and Hunan Provincial Tax Service of the State Taxation Administration. They reported their work on coordinating epidemic prevention and control and resuming economic and social development, analyzed impacts of the epidemic, and put forward advices on restoring the order of production and life at an increasing pace and advancing economic work at the next stage.
