Project summary:
By closing the existing chemical retting assembly lines, five bio-degumming ones could be created, which have the capability of producing 25,000 t/y refined ramie.
Besides, A new system of recycled water should be constructed to meet the needs of the above change. To be specific, the waste water from sterilized process and washing process, which are two processes of the retting assembly, could be used as water source of water film dust collector locating at theboiler and furnace room. The air-conditioner waste water could be used as water source of washing and torturing (rubbing and kneading) processes of bio-degumming system. As a result, the total emission amount of waste water deduces, the reusing rate of water increases, pH value and chromaticity of the waste water falls, the dose of the pollutants decreases. Furthermore, adding the technology of SPR purifying and reusing the sewage to the recycled water process, the content of CODcr can be further decreased compared with the old system of biochemical oxidation on purifying the waste water.
Project background:
Ramie textile industry have advantage in the world textile field, especially the bast fiber crops resource and its products, such as the total output of ramie composes 95% of the world yield, with its yield of 300 thousand tons per year. Hunan province is not only the hometown of ramie in China, but also is the biggest base of ramie processing and exporting in China. For example, the plant area, processing and exporting ratio are about half of the whole country. In 2007, the total plant area is about 53 thousand hc, the yield 144 thousand tons, the production value 1.3 billion RMB. Over 600 thousand rural labor forces join the ramie planting and primary process field, and now lots of them are in the way to rich and finally achieve self-realization.
Yuanjiang City Star Ramie Industry Co., Ltd. lies in Yuanjiang City Economic Development Zone. In Nov. 2003, our company was established on bulk acquisition of the formly Yuanjiang City Ramie Textile Industry Plant, and was reformed and changed into a private enterprise. At present, we have 1,400 stuff, including 2 senior professional engineers ranked professor, 12 senior professional engineers ranked associate professor and 134 primary professional engineers. We have the total production scale of 10,000 textile spindles of long ramie spinning, overseas rotor spinning process with 864 spindles, 168 New Developed Rapier Looms. Our staple are pure ramie yarn, blended yarn of ramie and other fibers, pure ramie fabrics, ramie/cotton blended fabrics and so on. In conclusion, we have the production capacity of 5,000 t refined ramie, 1,500 t pure ramie yarn, 3,000 t rotor spinning processed yarn and 9 million meters of pure and blended fabrics.
Our company holds 2.6 million RMB of registered capital, total assets of 136.4 million RMB at the end of 2007, 102.66 million RMB of original value of fixed assets, 10 hc of occupied area of production region, 50 thousand square meter of house area, 105.08 million RMB of sales income and 12.29 million RMB of tax in 2007, 24.65% enterprise asset ratio of liability and credit level is prized as AAA.
In 2008, focused renovation on the retting enterprises locating around the Dongting Lake was enforced by the Government of Hunan Province. Part of them with treatment free of waste water were forced to shut up. The mentioned situation would definitely move the development and application of the bio-degumming techniques.
To solve the problem of the waste water from the ramie processing plant, our company adopted the technique of bacteria degumming, which was invented by the Institue of Bast Fiber Crops, Chinese Academy of Agriculture Science. After trials from the beginning, pilot tests to amplifying tests, our company stopped the chemical retting assembly lines and turned to the bio-retting processes from June, 2007. At present, the accumulated refined ramie yield is up to 2,000 t, with 12 t per day. On 20th, 12. 2007, the bio-retting project and its assembly lines were checked and accepted by the China National Textile And Apparel Council in Yuanjiang City. The result showed that our assembly lines based on the bio-retting technology reached international advanced level. All these lines are including sterilizing the crude ramie by high temperature based on infrared ray, rubbing and kneading the dry crude ramie, fermentation in the warm room and combined treatment on the ramie materials with washing and oiling.
Based on the previous successful tests cooperated with Gongdong Compaq Industrial Co. Ltd., we reached a contract with them to establish a new sewage-processing system, including the technology of SPR purifying and reusing the waste water. The planning project will be able to dispose the waste water of 20,000cubic metre per day. So, the amount of the future polluted waste water in our plant will reach zero.
The attraction of the future project will be shown in the following three items.
Firstly, the spinning property of the ramie fibers, production efficiency and product quality will be improved.
Secondly, energy is obviously saved and the emission amount is evidently reduced. To be concrete, the usage of the water is sharply decreased. 400 t water is saved every ton of refined ramie production. In addition, the pollutant in the waste water is greatly reduced. The amount of inorganic and organic compounds decrease by more than 90％ and 60％ respectively. The CODcr of bio-retting ramie is 160 kg, compared with 370 kg of chemical treatment. The decrease rate of the CODcr is 56.76% under the condition of the same productivity. As well, chromaticity of the waste water falls. The emission waste water is just 10 times. Finally, the difficulty of the management on the sewage goes down. In a word, the new system will resolve the bottleneck problems of the ramie industry development and will pave a way for the coming boom of this field.
Lastly, the cost of the raw material declines. Compared with traditional chemical retting ramie, the bio-degumming technique will increase the finished product rate by 3-5%, and the raw ramie will be saved by 0.05 t every ton of refined ramie. To be caculated by price, the cost of one ton of refined ramie will decrease 839 RMB.
