Project name: Utilizing stone to make paper is a high technology obtaining more than 40 national patents. This technology mainly utilizes mineral matters such as stone powder and plastic, after mixing and banburying, to make paper granules. It has broken through the traditional technology of making paper with wood pulp. In the materials used, stone powder accounts for 50% above. This papermaking technology has such characteristics as using no water, using no wood, discharging no waster water, no waste gas, no strong acid and no bleaching liquid and recoverability, and shows high effects in environmental protection, energy saving and emission reduction. Producing excellent economic benefit, this papermaking technology needs only one third of the cost of the wood pulp production technology. The products have many excellent features such as poison-free safety, physical performances in water proof, fold resisting, break resisting and cold penetrating, long preservation period, anti-insect function and no mildew growing on the surface. It is estimated that stone paper shall obtain equal market share to wood pulp paper within 10 years. The 120,000t/a Longmeng Stone Papermaking Project needs a land area of 200 mu and a floor space of 20,000m2. We plan to build the project in Taojiang County, Yiyang City, for we can make full use of the rich limestone material of the project site and the project can enjoy various preferential policies granted by the local government.
