Hunan Valin Wire & Cable Co. Ltd. is a stock joint enterprise approved by Hunan Provincial Government in order to enliven the effective assets of Xiangtan Wire & Cable Factory. Its investors include Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Group, Xiangtan Iron & Steel Group, Shanghai Dice Science & Technology Development Co. Ltd., Xiangtan Economic Construction Investment Corporation and Xiangtan Electrochemical Group. The company was founded in July 2003 with the registered capital of RMB100 million Yuan. It purchased all assets of Xiangtan Wire & Cable Factory located in No.1 Jianshenan Road, Hi-tech Zone, Xiangtan. Hunan Valin Wire & Cable Co. Ltd (the former Xiangtan Wire & Cable Factory), covering a land area of 600 mu (1 mu =666.7 square meters) enjoys an excellent geographical position It is next to “Germany Industrial Park” which is under construction. Water-supply and electricity are well-equipped and special railway line runs directly to the plant. Being well-planned with trees and greeneries around, the environment in the plant is very nice and comfortable. In the past three years, with the investment of the technical innovation funds of RMB60 million Yuan, Hunan Valin Wire & Cable Co. Ltd. has possessed the production capacity of 1.5 billion Yuan. Special cables include cable used in nuclear power station, ship cable, engine cable, high-temperature resistant cable, environmental protection cable and other cables of special function and performance. With highly development of the electric facilities, the continuous change of earth environment and people’s higher and higher requirement to enhance life quality, this kind of cable has a big market. To meet the market requirement, the company plans to build a production line of the annual capacity of 1,000 km special cables.
