Project content: Yiyang Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (hereafter called “Yiyang Hi-tech Zone” for short) is a province-level key hi-tech industrial development zone approved by Hunan Provincial People’s Government in 2002 and has a total planned area of 55.8km2. In 2006, Yiyang Hi-tech Zone began its development strategy of “extending eastward and linking the east”. In 2008, Yiyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government set up New East Area of Yiyang Hi-tech Zone for the purpose of eastwardly linking Changsha City. In May 2004, Ministry of Science and Technology and Hunan Provincial People’s Government separately conferred Yiyang Hi-tech Zone “Advanced Manufacture Technology Industrial Base for the National Torch Plan” and “Provincial Base for Utilization and Industrial Development of Scientific Research Results of Institutions of Higher Learning and Scientific Research”, and “Sci-tech Park of Central South University” settled in Yiyang Hi-tech Zone. At the 4th Central China Investment and Trade Expo in April 2008, Yiyang was conferred by the Ministry of Commerce “Key Base for Accepting Processing Trade Gradient Transfer”. In the recent years, Yiyang Hi-tech Zone takes developing high technology as the core and lays stress on promoting new-type industrialization, and has produced more and more development upsurges, with its economic development speed ranking the first among the development zones of the whole province. Up to now, over 200 enterprises have settled in the development zone, 6 characteristic industries covering clothes, new energy, new material, equipment manufacture, electronic information and food processing have come into being. The fixed assets investment, industry of scale and financial and tax income are being redoubled every year.
In 2001, Yiyang Hi-tech Zone introduced Hunan Corun Hi-tech Co., Ltd, which is a hi-tech enterprise founded by the famous expert of the domestic new material and energy industry. With a land area of 500-odd mu, a floor space of 45,000m2, total assets of RMB 320 million and 3,000 employees, the company mainly produces high-temperature cell, nickel-hydrogen power cell and zinc-nickel cell, among which, the high-temperature cell series contain KD-43SC1600T, KD-50C2500T, KD-50C3000T, KD-60D4500T etc. On the high-temperature condition, these products have such characteristics as high charging efficiency, excellent overcharging-resisting performance, long service life, strong capability in preserving charged electricity, high reliability and excellent safety. The company produces 500,000 nickel-hydrogen cells per day. Covering 100-odd kinds from AAA, AA, A, SC, C to D, these products have such characteristics as high capacity, long service life, high consistency, quick charging performance and excellent discharging performance. The above-mentioned products are widely used in electric tools, electric toys, lamps & lanterns, telecom facilities, electric vehicles and so on. Hunan Corun Hi-tech Co., Ltd is able to provide the investors who invest in electric equipments in Yiyang Hi-tech Zone with key parts and materials, and offer abundant resources, cost advantage and technical support for their enterprise establishment.
