Project content: Taohuajiang National Forest Park consists of Taohua River Scenic Spot, Qiufu Mountain Scenic Spot and Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot. Taohua River Scenic Spot is to the south of the county seat, 30.2km away from the county seat; Qiufu Mountain Scenic Spot is to the west of the county seat, 12km away from the county seat; Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot is to the east of the county seat, only 1.8km away from the county seat. The forest park covers a planned area of 3,167.58 ha. The construction of this forest park will benefit the construction of the national forest park network system, rationally make up the lack of national forest park in Yiyang City, and quicken the construction of forest parks in Hunan Province and even the whole country. The main development idea in the tourism development plan of Taojiang County is as follows: building up the two tourist characteristics of beauty culture tourism and ecological sightseeing tourism by the Taohua River; laying stress on building the three scenic spots of Bamboo Sea, Phoenix Mountain and Beauties’ Home Village by the Taohua River; gradually developing Fuqiu Mountain, Taohuajiang Forest Park, Taohuajiang Riverside Scenic Spot and so on; strengthening the tourism planning and perfecting the preferential policy on tourist investment promotion and development; setting up a tourism structure integrating eating, accommodation, travel, sightseeing, amusement and shopping into a whole. It is estimated that Taojiang County will realize an annual tourist reception volume of 900,000 person·times and annual comprehensive tourist income of RMB 550 million in 2010. The development of the forest park will occupy a pivotal position in the tourist industry of Taojiang County.
