Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics revealed that the scale industry enjoyed relatively fast growth in January and February this year realizing the added value of 45.028 billion RMB in accumulation, a year-on-year growth of 20.6%, among which 21.014 billion RMB was brought in February, rising by 32.0% over the same period of the previous year.

After analysis we can find several features in scale industry's growth: Above all, the heavy industry grew faster than the light industry did because 27.389 billion RMB added value came from the former, a year-on-year rise of 21.8% while 17.639 billion RMB from the latter, a year-on-year growth of 18.5%; then the share-holding enterprises created the added value of 22.852 billion RMB, jumping by 24.0% while the state-owned enterprises brought along 12.691 billion RMB of the same, 7.8% higher over the same period of the previous year; thirdly five industries drove the robust growth of the industry with agricultural and its sideline products processing industry, chemical raw material and chemicals manufacturing industry, black metal smelting and rolling processing industry, non-metallic mineral products industry and special equipment manufacturing industry increasing by 48.0%, 29.0%, 33.4%, 52.1% and 32.1% year-on-year in their added value; at last we see the rise of 60% of the major industrial products. In these two months, the output of 246 varieties of industrial products in Hunan increased year-on-year, accounting for 63.7% of the total number of the industrial products under the survey.
