China Development Bank(CDB) signed a financing cooperative agreement on expanding domestic demands & promoting development and growth with Hunan provincial government on Mar.3. According to the agreement, China Development Bank shall provide a financing support of 110 billion RMB for Hunan's project for people's well-being, important infrastructural facilities, ecological construction, new industrialization and county economy, etc in the following three years.

As is stipulated in the agreement, CDB shall focus on supporting the development of Hunan's infrastructure facilities and basic industries such as highways, railways, energy, water conservancy and industrial bases, accelerating the construction of the projects having a bearing on people's livelihood, for example, the disposal of garbage and sewage in urban areas, the reconstruction of the shanty towns, low rent housing, medical services and student loans and actively pushing forward the construction of "Two-oriented" society in Chang-Zhu-Tan city cluster and the new urbanization process of all the cities and prefectures. All the above aims at making a good start to facilitate Hunan to achieve its goal of maintaining growth, expanding domestic demands, restructuring industry, stimulating employment and strengthening the basics .

On the same day, China Development Bank Hunan Branch inked with Hunan Finance Trust & Investment Holding Co Ltd the financing cooperative agreement on the project of sewage pipe network on the list of Hunan's Eleventh Five-Year Plan. The project as the important part of the three-year action plan for constructing urban sewage treatment facilities in the province has gained a maximum loan of 5.76 billion RMB extended by CDB. After its completion, the project is expected to play a great role in Hunan's environmental protection.

CDB has long maintained the sustained and in-depth cooperative ties with Hunan province. By the end of this February, the mid-term and long-term loans extended by CDB to the province had accumulated to 190 billion RMB. The cooperation between the two parties has expanded from the basic industries of electricity, transportation, public utilities in cities to the bottleneck sectors such as industrial upgrading, county economy, energy saving and emission reduction, the advancement of people's well-being and SMEs, extending from cities and developed areas to counties and backward regions.
