Introduction-Chenzhou

Located at the southeast end of Hunan province, Chenzhou has a history of over 2,200 years with a profound culture and historic details. The ancient Shennong invented ploughs, legendary Sudan rode crane, great poets of Han Yu, Liu Zongyuan and Zhou Dunyi etc. left their poems in Chenzhou. It is famous for its beautiful, precipitous, and unique landscape composed of mountains, lakes, caves, hot springs and grotesque rocks. As for tourism, Chenzhou is a newly developed tourist city for hunting, rafting, water recreations, recuperation, holidays, sports and sightseeing and gains a high reputation both at home and abroad.


Chenzhou is a city hugged by green trees and vegetation everywhere all year round and boasts great potential of tourism resources. The main scenic spots are: Mount Suxian-famous as the 18th blessing land under heaven; Dongjiang Lake-known as Eastern Swiss; Mount Feitian-a national geological park; Mangshan National Forest Park - known as the second Xishuangbana and famous for its amazing vegetation; Wugaishan International Hunting Ground-the only one opened to the outsider in the south China; Dongjiang Drifting-the first-class Eco-drifting in China; Wanhua Cave-well known for its magic caves in the world; Rucheng Hot Spring Vacation Village and Tiantang Hot Spring (Paradise Hot Spring) for health and leisure etc, all of which are promoting the fame of Chenzhou being Top Tourist City and Hometown of Hot Spring.


In addition, the city has a volleyball training camp where the Chinese national women's volleyball team had many intensive training sessions under its former coach Yuan Weimin when it captured five successive world titles at the World Cup, the World Championships and the Olympic Games in the early and mid-1980s. All these constitute a beautiful picture attracting groups of tourists to Chenzhou.
