Delegation from Gumi, South Korea Visits Changsha Library

A delegation from Gumi City, South Korea, visited the Changsha Library on December 18 on the occasion of the first anniversary of the establishment of a friendly-library relationship between the Changsha Library and Gumi Library.
Changsha and Gumi became sister cities in October 1998. The 5 Gumi delegates included directors of the International Cooperation Department and the Investment Promotion Department of the Gumi Municipal Government. They visited featured reading rooms at the Changsha Library such as the reading room for the visually impaired and the Xinsanjiao Maker Space.
Wang Ziyang, curator of the Changsha Library, briefed the guests on the zones for sister-city related literature and South Korean cultural activities organized by the library. International Cooperation Department director of the Gumi Municipal Government marveled at the rich and colorful cultural exchange activities and praised the library for its positive role in the friendly exchanges between the two cities.
Based on the principle of “cultural exchanges, deeper friendship, and mutual development", Changsha Library and Gumi Library established a friendly-library relationship last year to further promote cultural exchanges between the two cities. The two libraries regularly hold exchange activities such as document exchange.
