Hunan-Malanshan International E-sports Festival 2019 Concludes

The 3-day Hunan-Malanshan International E-sports Festival (IEF) 2019 ended on November 24. Hunan Vice Governor Wu Guiying; South Korea’s National Assembly Member Lee Won-wook; CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Deputy Secretary Zhu Jian; and, Changsha Vice Mayor Liao Jianhua attended.
Vice Governor Wu expressed congratulations to the winners. She said that e-sports has driven the integrated development of cultural innovation, games, sports, and tourism, and has a very promising future. Hunan has a good foundation for the e-sports industry development. Hunan has among the most number of professional e-sports players and practitioners in China. Changsha is making great efforts to build itself into an e-sports city. Hunan will continue to build the Malanshan e-sports industry cluster area with high-quality development environment and preferential policies and measures, so as to boost its e-sports industry and contribute its strength to the global e-sports industry development.
South Korea’s National Assembly Member Lee Won-wook said that the IEF 2019 was a great success, and he expects to meet everyone at IEF 2020 which is to be held in South Korea.
A total of 148 players from 12 countries competed in this event. Team THA.BU from Bangkok University of Thailand won League of Legends (LOL) global championship; CHN.HPSA from the Hainan College of Vocation and Technique of China won the Honor of Kings world championship; and, Kim Chang-kyun of Daegu University of South Korea was crowned the FIFA Online 4 world champion. The winners of the 2019 Hunan-Malanshan Cultural and Creative IP Work Selection Competition were announced and awarded prizes.
