On September 7, the 4th Investing in Africa Forum concluded in Changsha. There were 16 investment project agreements and memoranda on cooperation singed. It will have a far-reaching impact on promoting investment cooperation of various sides and the development of Africa.
Participants at the closing ceremony included:
·Zou Jiayi, vice minister of the Ministry of Finance;
·Liu Jin, CPC China Development Bank Committee member;
·Hafez Ghanem, World Bank vice president for the African Region;
·Jean Jacques Bouya, minister for territorial control, equipment and large-scale projects of the Republic of Congo; and,
·He Baoxiang, Hunan vice governor.
And they delivered speeches respectively.
After the closing ceremony, the 4th Investing in Africa Forum press conference released the Forum achievements. All parties to the Forum conducted further discussion on the following aspects:
·agricultural modernization;
·cultural education;
·climate change;
·new energy development;
·medical hygiene;
·digital economy; and,
·innovation, among others.
And the inked 16 agreements and memoranda on cooperation relate to agriculture, industry, energy, park construction, and medical hygiene, among others. The amount of investment on intended cooperation projects valued at 1.371 billion USD. This will provide intellectual and financial support for Africa’s future economic development.
