Changsha Subway Offered Free Rides to 380,000 Citizens in 2014

Since the beginning of its trial run on April 29, 2014, Changsha Subway Line 2 has been offering free ride to senior citizens over 65 years old and the disabled via launching privileged cards. During the past year, much more convenient and comfortable services have been delivered to benefit these special groups.

Up to now, around 50,000 cards for the elderly have been issued from the subway transportation system, while over 300,000 such cards and 30,000 cards for the disabled have been issued from the bus system. Changsha citizens can take both subways and buses with these cards due to the interconnection upgrading.
