The last round of the 17th "Chinese Bridge" — Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Student was held in Changsha on August 4, 2018. It marked the end of the one-month-long competition. The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Deputy Secretary and Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe attended the closing ceremony and watched the event.
There were three parts arranged to test the contestants’ language proficiency, including challenging Q & A about China, Chinese and western story-sharing, and free speech. Ruslan, (Chinese name Lu Silan) from Russia claimed the title at the competition. He was also awarded the honors of the “Star of Chinese Language” and the "Chinese Language Ambassador".
