Zhou Qiang, President of the Supreme People’s Court of China

On behalf of the Supreme People’s Court of China, its president Zhou Qiang made a work report on the morning of March 12, and listened to proposals from Hunan delegation on that same afternoon.

President Zhou placed great expectations in deepening Hunan’s judicial system reform, and hoped that courts at different levels in Hunan could practice the principle of “judicature for the people”, promote judicial publicity, upgrade judicial credibility, and earnestly implement various reforms. He also promised that the Supreme People’s Court of China would continue to support and pay great attention to Hunan.

He said affectionately, “Hunan is my second hometown. I have always advertised for Hunan and recommended others to visit the province. I sincerely wish it greater achievements in reform, development and stability.”
