On September 3, Hunan provincial commemorative meeting for the 69th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people’s resistance war against Japanese aggression was grandly held in Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County, where Japanese troops officially surrendered. Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial People’s Committee Xu Shousheng made a speech and Governor of Hunan Province Du Jiahao presided over the meeting.


Xu pointed out that Hunan was one of the main battlegrounds in China and its people demonstrated their heroic spirit of caring, unity, unyielding and fighting, which will always inspire Hunanese.


Xu stressed that the great spirit and patriotic enthusiasm should be transferred into practical action to build a beautiful and rich Hunan. He added that Hunan people should treasure the hard-won peace to create favorable atmosphere for reform and development in the whole province.
